The place where progressive ideals die
Evolution is real and Washington has evolved into a corporately corrupted government center. Or, if you'd like it said differently, Washington has never been friendlier to big business and the mega wealthy. And why not. IT'S THEIR FUCKING GOVERNMENT! Sorry for yelling.

3. Or as John McCain has said for the last 21 years, "the system is broken."
And this is not meant to imply I have anything but disgust for McCain, just remembering those who've helped bring about the corporate-corrupted government know what they've done - they broke it and aren't about to fix it!

4. Progressive ideals die when progressives don't organize grassroots movements to fight back
The gains of the Progressive Era were not obtained by people complaining to the folk at the top about the Robber Barons of the Gilded Age: the gains of the Progressive Era were obtained by people who were angered enough, by the abuses of the Gilded Age, to fight back

5. THANK you! It never was anything in the first place if you don't make it something in your own life,
every second of it.
