A very fundamental difference.....

This probably won't come as a surprise, and it may not be particularly deep or penetrating. But I recently noticed a very subtle difference between the left and right paranoia. During the Bush administration, many people here (myself included) considered the possibility that the RWers would seize the government and permanently impose tyrannical rule. Today's RWEers actually believe that the Obama administration has actually already done just that.

I'm actually beginning to feel that the reality is much more disturbing. But that's another discussion.
