Palin's 'Refudiate' Is Oxford American Dictionary's Word Of The Year
<snip>

Well, the editors at Oxford American Dictionary figured that "refudiate" expressed something different enough that it deserved to be a new word. They explain:

From a strictly lexical interpretation of the different contexts in which Palin has used “refudiate,” we have concluded that neither “refute” nor “repudiate” seems consistently precise, and that “refudiate” more or less stands on its own, suggesting a general sense of “reject.”

So they present to you, Oxford American Dictionary's Word of the Year:

refudiate verb used loosely to mean “reject”: she called on them to refudiate the proposal to build a mosque.

So I guess this means "flustrate" is a word too?

5. Getting into a dictionary for mangling a word
is like getting a junior fire badge for burning down your house.

9. "Truthiness" was an intentionally coined word not the slip of the tongue
of a whiny bobble head of a coo coo from Alaska.
