That's one of the most heavily traveled days of the year (all of which are in the vicinity of Thanksgiving). They jack the fucking rates up and then offer "discounts" for booking early (that still leave you paying more than the regular fare). They expect the planes to be packed to the point where they're tempted to shove people into the overhead bins. Good day to choose, but whether it works or not will have to be seen.
