1. I can give you a link -
Lenin's Imperialism - http://www.marxists.org/archive/lenin/works/1916/imp-hsc/index.htm

Although the scholars will tell you to read Marx's Capital, I like Lenin for explaining capitalism in very accessible prose.

not much input here. lol At least I have your link. I'll skip the books, this time. Except for 'Thought They were Free', 'Traitor To His Class', about FDR, 2 books on the Phillies for the grandson, and Quotes by Will Rogers. That's enough - I'm helping the economy.

5. I tend to like the classics,
but Reich and Krugman are both pretty good economists as well.

7. lol have you read it?
I read the Krug's 'The Great Unraveling' when it first came out. I have to go back over it again and again. It's a compilation of his NYT articles.

Wonder how much the huge deficit, 2 wars, and the daily changes of laws - and more to come with the new bunch. I'm bewildered, confused and scared crapless.

15. The county I live in is fairly progressive
Median age is around 32. Voracious readers, I think the used book stores are doing a brisk business - I may be able to that one.

Duh, I can't beleive I didn't think of them first. Too much going on - not thinking.

12. We have a very small library here but, there are
several used books stores within 2 miles. Three as a matter of fact. Thanks for the reminder! What the hell am I doing on Amazon. I have books I can trade, too. :toast:

9. "The Big Short" by Michael Lewis.
It's about the financial crisis and is told from the POV of the relatively low-level people who foresaw the whole house of cards before it collapsed.
