Lots of pedophile booiks for sale on Amazon...
Meanwhile, consumers searching for other pedophilia-related titles will not suffer from a shortage of material, a quick search reveals.

Titles like "Diary of a Pedophile," "Father Pedophile," "The 'Pedophile' Sham: Undermining the Torah Matrix" and "Fun With Pedophiles, The Best of Baiting" were readily available on Borders.com, BarnesandNoble.com or Amazon.com as of early Thursday, less than a day after Amazon apparently removed Greaves' title.

"The 'Pedophile' Sham: Undermining the Torah Matrix," was offered for sale on Amazon in paperback and hardcover versions, and on BarnesandNoble.com in paperback.

Its product description reads: "In The 'Pedophile' Sham, author Arthur S. Joseph dares to defy the common notions and beliefs regarding pedophilia. With convincing authority and no punches pulled, Joseph explains why every normal being should proudly be a pedophile -- yes, proudly. Along with the Torah and kabalistic insights, The 'Pedophile' Sham is the only source of enlightenment that establishes new definitions for the entire family."

1. Devil's advocate here, but is pedophilia some special part of law where freedom of speech no longer
applies? Amazon as a private company is allowed to sell anything legal they want to and probably won't sell these works because of the bad PR, but it isn't like any of these books are illegal.

2. Having one photograph of a compromising nature on your computer...

will send you to jail for a long time.

I wonder how those same people would view how to book on pedophilia?

As a parent, if I were in a house and found such a book, I would be out of there in seconds and put in a call to the police. I believe children must be protected from anyone who thinks Pedophilia is OK.

4. Not true in our part of the country...
The prosecutors want to make sure there is no doubt about the intentions of the owner of the computer and what that specific person did. On our grand jury, we've never had a case where a defendant had less than a 100 images. Not only that, they have proof of transactions through emails and whatnot. They want these cases to be ironclad.

8. So how would the view an ironclad case of a person who owns
a library of how to pedophilia books?

I don't care a flying doodle what consenting adults do, as long as they do it on my front lawn at noon. They can get a room or find their own front lawn.

There are only two reasons to get such a book.

The first is that a person is interested in the best way to do such things, that person is turned on by sex with a child. This is not like a book on bondage or "Just you and your shoe." There is no legal, moral, or ethical way to do pedophilia. A child can never be a consenting adult.

The second would be for research either form a police perspective or from a sociological perspective.

Finally, I have a choice where I spend my money. There are a number of small presses on the Internet where special interest books can be bought. I won't be buying books at Amazon, and I have told them that.

13. I read a translation of Mein Kampf for college...
I've read most of the communist manifesto and at one time owned Mao's Little Red Book.
I own a copy of the King James version of the bible because it is a beautiful piece of literature in its own right.

Each of those books have merits, either artistically or intellectually.

I own a bunch of how to books on writing, computer programing, building model trains, and gardening. The only reason I own how to books is to learn to do something better.

Why would anyone own a book on how to screw a child unless...

I am not saying someone who wants to write such a book should not. I could understand if they were sold on the Internet in specialty stores, of which there are many that sell odd things. I also see Amazon.com's conundrum. Where do they draw a line. If they can't sell a book on screwing children would it be OK to sell a book titled, "Barnyard love: Stearing the right course between Heffers and stears."

12. I should have been specific...
The emails and transactions were for purchasing images and videos. Not for books.

Sorry about that. :)

3. Fuck Fox News.
Attacking "deviant" literature and art has been a favored tool of fascists and neo-fascists for all history. Anything Fox News writes is most likely calculated to smear "intellectuals" as supporting child rape. Case in point, if you Google "Fun With Pedophiles, The Best of Baiting," you'll find that it's a book which mocks and attacks pedophiles. "Diary of a Pedophile" is a satirical novel. "Father Pedophile" is also a novel about the after-effects of sexual abuse on the characters.

5. The books are legal. The behavior is not.
I'd like to keep it that way.

Let the twisted men buy the books and keep them as part of the library they wank to. I don't care if they're twisted, as long as they don't act it out on children.

6. Do you think reactions might be different if books like these were in public libraries?
I don't know if they are or aren't and I honestly don't have a problem if they are.

I agree with you, BTW.

9. Oh, I think Mommies and Daddies would be outside with pitchforks and torches
if it were discovered that such a book was on the general shelves and not buried in the stacks, which is where I found such fare when I was a precocious brat with stacks privileges.

As it is, libraries keep records of people who access stuff like this if they do have it and I'm sure Amazon cooperates with police when there's a serial child rapist loose.

Having a checkout or purchase record isn't a bad thing, you know.

Why is this back?
