Paranoid freeper freaks think today's Google logo shows Soviet flag

As if we need any further proof that they are unhinged whack jobs with no
concept of reality.

Google has altered it's logo in commemoration of Veteran's Day.

Someone in freeperland has just started a thread claiming the curve of the
final 'e' in Google somehow is meant to represent the Soviet flag or more
sinisterly represents the more current bogeyman with a representation of
the Muslim crescent moon symbol.

Are they insane or stupid? Rhetorical question, I know the answer. Both.

I figured it was because freepers can't spell. Outta sight, outta mind. The final "E" was covered up by the flag, so therefore in their eyes Google is spelled G-O-O-G. They can't see the "L" either since it's replaced by the flagpole.

It was an early 80's 8-bit game with a space invaders type firing platform that moved back and forth (dial control) and shot projectiles at something I think were supposed to be robots along the top bar of the screen. You would have to have a REALLY sick mind to come up with that association!!!

What I *really* want to know is what they mean by including the serifs on the G. That HAS to be important. Exactly. Way to go, Google. Give crazies such as Pamela Geller, Terry Jones and Tea Party patriots the fuel they need to wage an all-out slugfest of vitriol against Islam for ruining an American tradition. The Google doodle is distasteful at best, hateful at worst, for this Veterans Day.

Your Google doodle is supposed to enlighten and educate those who click on it, not cause a rift between two world powers.

In a civilized society we need to show respect. We show respect by opening the door for the elderly. We show respect by thanking a solider for fighting for us. We show respect by saluting the flag when in uniform. We show respect by not desecrating someone's sacred symbol.
