"Shellacking"
I know the press runs with the idea that the Tea Party/RW/Repubs did the "shellacking" but is that how Obama views it? I took it that way from him and so did the masses I think.

The way I read this election is the Democratic base, disillusioned, stayed home. The Democrats were "shellacked" by their own base.
Anyone have numbers to back this up?

Anyway, it is sickening to me that our President stutters on 60 Minutes. He looked weak, beat, and tired. I don't blame his critical base for this as many do here. I blame his insistence on trying to comprise with a political ideology that in any other times would be happy to hang him from the nearest tree. He has worn himself out, along with his base during the last two years, with placation.
Now, with the potential "tax cuts" comprimise coming, what is next? Social Security? Medicare?

I am beginning to agree with Mike Malloy when he suggested Obama do an LBJ and not seek a second term.
Be proactive and take away the one thing the Repukes want...a lynching.
Then tell the American people hard truths while kicking Republican ass for the next two years.
His respect factor would go off the charts and the Democratic Party would be rejuvenated.
And then I woke up.
