Poll question: About the proposals of Obama's Commission Co-Chairs...
How do you feel about the proposal's released today by Obama's commission co-chairs?

(I think I know how people generally feel, but let's see)

4. The 'proposals' are being used as political theater, which sucks
Pols rushing to the microphones to get their talking points out

Once again they get the populace talking about what the working classes should be willing to sacrifice to the predator class.

Fuck em

because his statement makes Kent Conrad sound liberal.

6. They ought to have had experts on economics on that commision. Not some old hacks.

7. Old hacks are exactly what they wanted.
This is a hit job on the lower classes (i.e. the lower 95%), not a deliberative policy inquiry. Obama & Co. knew what they wanted, and they appointed people who would give it to them.

Sure, they put out the most outrageous proposals first. Then we're supposed to feel lucky when things turn out not quite so bad as initially feared.

8. You only inserted Obama's name twice.
Why not be more ambitious? You can fit "Obama" in at least two more times.

11. OK. How do you feel about Boehner's Catfood Commission?
Feel better now?

Just keep repeating, "Obama didn't appoint these people. Obama didn't appoint these people."

12. Just keep telling yourself its about the issues
and not about hating Obama. A few people might believe it.

17. I think Obama is making some terrible policy decisions.
That does not equate to hating him. I was once a member of the n-Dimensional Chess cheerleader squad. I'm dealing with disillusionment and--frankly--fear rather than hatred. We have huge crises looming, and this administration not only squandered its chances to do the right things, but has actively moved in the wrong direction.

13. President Obama Establishes Bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform
http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/president-obama-establishes-bipartisan-national-commission-fiscal-responsibility-an

"Names former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles and former Republican Senate Whip Alan Simpson as Commission Co-Chairs

WASHINGTON – Today, President Obama will sign an executive order establishing the bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform and announce that former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles and former Republican Senate Whip Alan Simpson will serve as the Commission’s co-chairs.

President Obama said, “For far too long, Washington has avoided the tough choices necessary to solve our fiscal problems – and they won’t be solved overnight. But under the leadership of Erksine and Alan, I’m confident that the Commission I’m establishing today will build a bipartisan consensus to put America on the path toward fiscal reform and responsibility. I know they’ll take up their work with the sense of integrity and strength of commitment that America’s people deserve and America’s future demands.”

14. There you go!
That's the way to make sure the focus is on Obama and not on the issues OR on the two people making their own proposals.

the co-chairs.

18. This is all a set up, imho.
Those commission co-chairs were let out to throw the fear of gawd into us.

Then we will be grateful to accept the compromise which won't be quite so bad.

This whole dog and pony show is just that, theater!

Gotta give it to them, they are performing much better than the dumb ass GWB.

Obama and the rest of our Dems need to just say NO and uphold Democratic principles!

We better wake up to these scams and start standing up for ourselves before it is too late.
