Did he make mistakes?

The question itself is a victory... as opposed to did he commit crimes, statutory and moral.

I make mistakes. You make mistakes. But neither of us ever invaded a bystander nation at a cost of hundreds of thousands of lives and with the net result of strengthening the one country (Iran) we seem to think is our top enemy.

The people asking the questions are not competent to ask them. Bush will have to be judged by a future generation of yammerers who were not all co-conspirators! Everyone interviewing Bush about whether Iraq was a mistake was a tacit supporter of the war and most assuredly believed the WMD hype.

You can almost see the wheels turning in these interviewer's heads. "If I, obviously the smartest person in the world, thought there were WMD then how hard can I really be on Bush about this?"
