1. I will say congrats to CBS for being balanced
I don't think Clyburn is a token. As to the rest, I do think some Democratic perspective would have been nice to say the least.

What made it worse is that none of the hosts would challenge the repuke talking points. It got old fast.

46. Republicans talk at length
Democrats usually get a few sentences out of their mouths and they are talked over/interrupted. None of the most articulate democrats are invited on the sunday shows. Joe Biden used to be on every sunday morning with nothing to say. Then Carl Levin. Producers are very very careful to pick the second and third string for sunday shows. Joe Biden first string? Not really . Was very surprised when he was chosen as VP. Then rahm emmanuel for chief of staff...seemed to be an agenda. Fail.Elect hillary in 2012.

3. From the 14 points of fascism
6. A controlled mass media

Under some of the regimes, the mass media were under strict direct control and could be relied upon never to stray from the party line. Other regimes exercised more subtle power to ensure media orthodoxy. Methods included the control of licensing and access to resources, economic pressure, appeals to patriotism, and implied threats. The leaders of the mass media were often politically compatible with the power elite. The result was usually success in keeping the general public unaware of the regimes’ excesses.

It is easy... to understand what is going on.

We have been a fascist nation for a while... all the rest is fiction.

10. Great story, hey? During the Bush years they needed Republicans on
Edited on Sat Nov-06-10 06:13 PM by NRaleighLiberal
because a Republican was president. Obama becomes president and we have the house and senate and they need Republicans on so that the story of the other side can be portrayed. And of course, we now need to discuss this so-great Republican tsunami with Republicans, of course....:sarcasm:

To me this is a huge untold story right before our eyes - the incredible dominance of the R side everywhere....but it fits right in with the up=down media reporting (sure, the media is liberal...sure, both sides get equal voice).

My outrage on this is so great and has been going on for so long that I just have to compartmentalize my anger.....and leave the box closed!

33. This really isn't anything new, they have been doing this for a long long time
As a matter of fact IIRC Media Matters has done survey's on this and Sunday Talk shows always have far more republicons and white men then any other group of people.

I'm sure it might have something to do with the CEO's of these corps.

I suppose if more people raised a stink about it perhaps it might have a better outcome, however, don't hold your breath while waiting on anything to change.

43. Paul Krugman will be on Fareed Zakaria's GPS program
"See why Fareed says that if this "Republican Revolution" doesn't manage to cut the deficit, the American people will be saying "Fool me three times, shame on me".

Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman thinks the outlook for the next two years -- with a power split in Washington -- is "terrible". In an exclusive interview, Krugman goes head-to-head with the former chief economist of the IMF, the right-leaning Raghuram Rajan on what can be done to fix the U.S. economy...and whether it will ever GET done given the likely of gridlock in the nation's capital."

I'm not feeling well in this autumn weather. :) I just don't want ANYONE to call it the liberal media, even if the pukes call it that. We need to change our message to ATTACK them incessantly. Our tactics will be guerrilla and will not cease. I will never recall the "liberal media," but will ALWAYS remember the days of the "conservative media." It will be as if the liberal media never existed. They can pick up the fucking pieces of their wasted lives in the aftermath. QED.
