Actually, I do think a boycott of Comcast would work
cable subscriptions are down, and comcast is feeling some pain.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101105/ap_on_hi_te/us_tec_internet_vs_pay_tv

From the article
"The only larger cable company, Comcast Corp., reported last week that its subscriber loss more than doubled in the third quarter, to 275,000."

personally if K doesn't come back and they further screw with MSNBC, I am done with comcast.

1. Comcast loses subscribers every month. Boycotters just get lumped in with that number.
If it empowers you or makes you feel good about boycotting Comcast or MSNBC, then go for it. The DU boycott list must be very, very long and growing everyday.

2. not that long for me
Walmart, just because it is icky, and now comcast. Maybe you are right though, there are just SO MANY liberal cable news networks out there.

3. They'll know with a letter from me to go with it.
And yes, action is better than inaction. And yes, it makes me feel better that no matter how much they make, none it will be from me.

4. I'm pretty sure the founders of Netflix are liberal
"Their willingness to simply go without pay television could be a sign that Internet TV services such as Netflix and Hulu are finally starting to entice people to cancel cable, though company executives say the weak economy and housing market are to blame."

I am going to see what they have to offer, right now I have Verizon. We cancelled comcast awhile back, just have regular tv.

5. The boycott would not work for me
I have no alternate access to television or internet. Comcast truly is the only game in town where I live.

And, no. Dish Network is not an option. Comcast is the preferred provider in my condo and due to a special pricing contract we have with them, my condo rules prohibit me from using a competing service provider.

Maybe I'll just scowl in the general direction of their building next time I drive by.

This is a chance for people to put their money where their mouths are and vote with it.

7. This is time to hit them where they'll hurt - in the pocketbook.
