15. MSNBC should cancel the whole network.
But that wasn't the point of my comment at all.

20. how is he a scab?
i'm totally pro-union, and do believe this "suspension" is totally engineered by comcast's corporate masters. but Olbermann did not on strike here. this roberts person is doing a job for which he is probably already hired (substitute, fill-in host, etc). i don't use the word "scab" willy-nilly, and don't see how it applies here.

46. this is not a strike
and he, and others, may have contracts they have to honor. It is easy to say "fuck 'em, I'm not participating" but if you had a contract and stood to lose lots in damages, it might be a more difficult choice for you too.

Additionally, we do not know what will happen here. If he's back next week, it still sucks but not worth falling on your sword (if you have, for instance, a contract with MSNBC)

Finally, for those who are holding Chris Hayes out as some big hero, you do know, by now I"m sure, that he didn't substitute because he too had made political contributions without telling MSNBC first in violation of his contract and that is why he said it would be uncomfortable for him to sub for Keith.

I know, I know, you prolly think that contracts are an evil tool of the man but if it was MSNBC breaking the terms of the contract and Keith the victim, don't tell me you'd take MSNBC's side because all contracts are evil.

17. Maybe people have forgot how the old school did, they listened.
The question will be is how he is with a conservative, I like being able to hear the liberals talk. Olbermann was good at, but few others did.

26. He's in a tough spot but he seems OK
I wonder how those who criticize him would handle a similar situation.

At the start of the show he promised a comment about the KO suspension.

I'll reserve my comment until I see how he handles that.

after no one would take Olberman's place, he was told do it or lose your job!

I remember at one time I was at the wrong place - was told to just do this new position.

38. I don't know if he's good but he appears to have some
integrity. First he allowed to the power problem with Eugene and he just spoke to the issue and hoped that Keith would soon be back.

Corporations cannot have the right to donate to candidates and deny that right to their workers - what's next they'll tell you how you should vote - wait some of them are doing that already.

This is fugging fascism.
