Mconnell - Our primary goal is to get rid of Obama
“Over the past week, some have said it was indelicate of me to suggest that our top political priority over the next two years should be to deny President Obama a second term in office," the Senate Republican leader will tell the conservative Heritage Foundation, according to excerpts of his speech provided to POLITICO.

"But the fact is, if our primary legislative goals are to repeal and replace the health spending bill, to end the bailouts, cut spending and shrink the size and scope of government, the only way to do all these things is to put someone in the White House who won’t veto any of these things"

Anyone who wants to work with these people is actually working against Obama - including Obama himself.

5. His primary goal is to overthrow a duly elected government
I think there's some treason in there somewhere.

Impeach and remove McConnell!

9. If McConnell really follows that agenda, he will be surprised.
It will have exactly the opposite effect.

I frankly am not at all worried about Obama's re-election - unless he continues to cede to the Repubs in the interests of a bipartisanship that exists in his mind only. So yes, he would be working against himself, betraying not just his base but all of the American people.

In that case, he would deserve to be replaced as the Dem nominee for President, IMO.

But I am giving him a pass on his speech following the election. What else could he say, after all? I am hoping that he meant it when he said that we would not relitigate things that had already been litigated, e.g., HCR, etc. If he stands firm, he'll be OK. But he MUST stand firm.

12. I expect he will cede every good part of HCR, and leave us only with the punishing mandate.
I expect he will extend the tax cuts for the ultra rich for 2 years.

I expect he will continue the war, rendition, and GITMO.
