Republicans CANNOT NAME THE CUTS THEY WANT!!!
dear god, watching andy card on anderson cooper just now was embarrassing.

at one point he demanded anderson tell HIM what they should cut.

he had to respond, "well I'm the journalist, I'm supposed to ask questions for the pundits to answer."

WAY TO GO, AMERICA, YOU SURE SHOWED THE BLACK GUY THOUGH

1. Sure they can - they just can't legislate them without the senate

2. Right, they can't; none of them have come up with a single tangible cut.

4. "No more turtle tunnels!"
They can point to random little "oddball" projects that are usually under a million or so, but considering it would take about a MILLION of them to equal the cost of making Bush's tax cuts permanent, they don't have that kind of time.

It's going to have to come out of defense...

5. LOL - "I'm the journalist, I'm supposed to ask questions..."
Good come back.

Another possibility - they won't say what they want to cut. :hi:

6. I think there's a lot of "won't" in there, too
They have a lot of definite ideas, but too many people are still paying attention. Look for a lot of "self-writing" legislation that inserts nasty little spending cuts to society's vulnerables, but when they're found, nobody will know how those provisions got in there.

7. Spoken like a true Vanderbilt.

Don't get involved on the side of the truth, just try and be there at the right time so you can look good.

8. The free ride Republicans are going to hold hearings, shrieking hysterically
Over any stupid thing they can think of so they don't actually have to do anything. And any 99er who voted for them is going to feel completely screwed.

9. Actually cutting something had nothing to do with it
"Cut government spending" is just something to say and doesn't have any connection to policy.

10. Time to switch talking points again.
They're going to drop "cut government spending" and return to "Regan showed us that deficits don't matter."

11. Aren't the Republicans going to kill Obama's green initiatives?

Anything "Obama" must on their <I have a potty mouth> list.

President Obama is doing a good thing promoting Green Initiatives.

I'm afraid some of his Green Initiatives are too little, too late, but it's good he's promoting them.

<sarcasm on>
I can't wait to buy my first Chinese made, electric car.

We'll get our latest renewable energy needs, solar panels, you name it, from the friendly Chinese.

Say goodbye to to gas stations, parts shops, U. S. car manufacturers.

Say hello to the Chinese New Century.
<sarcasm off>
