Hey Obama! Why not kick Rush Limbaugh off of Armed Forces Radio Now ?
When Oh Lord will Democrats do SOMETHING in regard to the right wing media hate machine. There is not a place in America that is not saturated on a daily basis with lies and propaganda from the likes of Limbaugh and the rest of the horde of right wing liars. While many Dems find it simply astonishing that so many Americans think that Obama is a Muslim, I find it astonishing that these same Democrats don't seem to know the reason why so many Americans have that belief. It is not magic or some mass delusion. The fact is that these ideas are carefully placed in people's minds by the right wing media machine. Rush Limbaugh, whether any Dem leader will admit or not, is the spiritual leader of the GOP. He set the strategy for the GOP after the '08 elections by offering within days of Obama being elected that he wanted the new President to FAIL.

The most maddening and unacceptable aspect of the last two years has been the complete lack of ANY action by this White House to address the likes of Limbaugh. In short, how much faith can I have in President that will not even try to take Limbaugh off of Armed Forces Radio. It seems to me to be very low hanging fruit ready to be plucked to the betterment of the nation and Democrats. Limbaugh has no right to a lifelong show on the AFN. He was PLACED there by the Newt Gingerich led Congress.

I would also offer that now is the time for Obama to pick a fight with that drug addled piece of shit Limbaugh.

Lastly, I will also offer that it appears our Dem leaders are in denial about the corrosive effects of the unchecked right wing media hate machine. One must wonder why there is no plan to counter the right wing media machine. I still have no idea why they refuse to fight or even look into the goings on at Clear Channel and FOX News.

By corporate right wingers.

8. The people who listen to AFRN seem to like Limbaugh, that's probably
why he remains.

On one deployment I made on an aircraft carrier, the two most popular programs on the shipboard tv were Letterman and a Cajun cooking show.

I think popularity by the viewing/listening audience may have something to do with why some programs remain on.

10. LimpBalls was on the air when Clinton got elected to two terms
and he was on the air blithering about Obama for almost for two full years before Obama got elected.
If you actually believe that LimpBalls caused the downfall of this or any election, you are
sadly mistaken.

13. in your humble opinion only
there are vast stretches of this country that only has right wing talk, and I know personally what it does to people.

But, I don't think the drugster was the main cause, because I think citizens united has plenty to do with it, as well as on-going hysterical ideas about the HC bill. Which were spread by the likes of Limbo. The lack of a decent public option was the nail in the coffin. All of this is my opinion, of course.

14. ...and there are vast stretches of this country that only has left wing talk.
Free speech is a wonderful thing.
If our our ideas are better than LimpBalls, our ideas will prevail.
I just went to the Armed Force Network Radio schedule
and I see they have Ed Schultz.
Would it be acceptable to you if the right wingers got them to take him off the air?
Ooops they also broadcast Shawn Hannity. Get rid of him as well?
Ooops they also have Alan Combs.

Shouldn't they be broadcasting what is representative of what is going on
here in the states?

For me, there are far more important issues than to be worrying about Limpballs being aired on
Armed Forces Radio.

16. very interesting segment on maddow
right now about the "self contained" rightwing media circus, and the fact many, many people believe, and do not get out of the bubble.

Freedom of speech is a good thing, but when all the free speech is based on lies, how do you fight that, especially when you can't get entry into the room.

And I really want to know where in the country it is all liberal talk with no other alternative. Last I heard it was like 400 (not kidding) hard right outlets to every lib one.

Please give me the map coordinates to the "vast stretches of the country that only has left wing talk." I don't want to get lost heading there.

We have ONE Liberal talk radio station in Seattle (AM1090).
