Blue Dog Coalition Crushed By GOP Wave Election
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/03/blue-dog-coalition-gop-wave-elections_n_778087.html

Snip:

"WASHINGTON -- Tuesday was a tough night for Democrats, as they watched Republicans win enough seats to take back the House in the next Congress and began to ponder life under a likely House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio). But one group hit especially hard was the Blue Dog Coalition, with half of its members losing their seats.

According to an analysis by The Huffington Post, 22 of the 46 Blue Dogs up for re-election went down on Tuesday. Notable losses included Rep. Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin (D-S.D.), the coalition's co-chair for administration, and Rep. Baron Hill (D-Ind.), the co-chair for policy. Two members were running for higher office (both lost), four were retiring and three races were still too close to call."

of them in 2012 and 2014. I've got my sights set on Ben Nelson and Max Baucus in particular.

7. Why is it good that they were replaced by Rethugs?
At least as Democrats they helped the Dems keep their majorities -- even though they didn't vote straight down the Democratic party line.

8. Yeah, you keep believing that.
Republicans should run as Republicans instead of Democrats so we can vote against them and put a real Democrat in their place.

3. Yep, exactly what happened. You can only move to the right so far, and then the
right will just replace you with one of their own.

5. Well that is what happens when you try and compromise with the enemy.
Why do you think Repukes show solidarity toward each other over issues between the parties? True, the PNAC and Teabagger crowd ain't the same smell - but they both worked together to defeat us.
