The Associated Press has withdrawn its call of Democrat Dan Malloy as the winner of Connecticut’s race for governor.

The call was based on statements made by the Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz indicating Malloy had defeated Republican Tom Foley by 3,103 votes. Bysiewicz also said there would be no statewide recount if her preliminary totals held.

According to the AP’s vote count, they show Foley with a lead of 8,424 votes over Malloy, with all but 1.5 percent of the precincts counted.

Bysiewicz has yet to release any vote results to support statements she made on Wednesday.

1. So the vote in a heavily-democratic urban center was fucked up again
And Foley might squeak out a victory.

Fuckin' surprise, surprise.

3. They only have 9000 votes in for New Haven.
There are many more votes than that.

4. Yeah, New Haven isn't that much smaller than Bridgeport or Hartford
There should be nearly three times that many cast. At least twice.
