We did suprisingly well given the economic situation.
the Bushies intentionally created an economic bomb, it came a few months too early, but it "did it's job". The incumbent party ALWAYS gets creamed when the economy sucks, had the 70s oil shock continued a couple more years than it did Reagan would have been thrown out of the White House.

The long-term trends are still on our side. us younger voters will not put up with obstructionism and do not like the Teabaggers.

2. I agree with you. I do think the long term looks better than
this immediate post-election day does. It's rare when we agree, but it does happen.

3. I agree. Long term looks good.
It's only living through the immediate future that's a real pistol whipping.

And at least we have one of the greatest comedy teams ever assembled in the US House of Representatives to give us occasional laughs...

philosophically,
Bright

5. Wrong. If Obama had fixed everything in two years the way he should have,
We wouldn't have been in this mess.

11. sigh
No, because the minute White America saw one pill go into a minority's mouth, they would scream "http://eelfaree" and slit their own wrists to keep minorities sick.

7. I am glad you do not like tea baggers
and generally speaking I'd agree with you... but I fear the tea bag movement is a full fascist movement... and this is just the beginning of something really dangerous and bad.

As you said, trends, and mine go to at least 1996

8. And, unfortunately, too few of you showed up to make a difference.

Where the old folks came out in very good numbers because of economic insecurity the young stayed home and looked for work.

I'm wondering if it is because there was no single figure that pulled them out to vote, that inspired them.
