So because Obama can't wave his magic wand...
...and fix the worst economic depression since the 1930s in just two years, the American people are going to turn their backs on him. Disgusting.

9. "We didn't get enough progress, so we might as well backtrack"
And give power to people who don't deserve it and have literally sworn to take us back to bad policy and have made it clear that they don't care about the issues affecting most voters like jobs. America's just another stupid mistake.

That era is long gone.

3. I think you are only partly right.

I think the dems could have easily held on to most of their seats but the DNC sucked at messaging and especially on the health care bill and stimulus Obama was totally out politiced by the GOP.

The GOP has their messaging together. They were able to define everything the Obama admin did in order to defeat the dems. Team Obama on the other hand apparently totally sucks at politics. Making deals on Wall Street Reform and Health Care that made it so hard to understand it was easy for the GOP to lie about it. Attacking their own base like that was going to help them with the GOP and not crafting the stimulus to where it was noticed(healthcaretoo) and failing to promote the good things about it, instead allowing the GOP to define it.

It's not the economy completely it's the poor political skills of the Obama team.
