Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee chairman Robert Menendez says legal action has begun to resolve voting irregularities in Connecticut and Illinois.
Democrats are seeking a one hour voting extension in Bridgeport, Connecticut because the town ran out of ballots.
"Turnout was so huge they ran out of ballots of every sort," Menendez said. "And so we, as we speak, are going to court to seek an hour extension, so that voters can continue to vote. There are huge lines there."

Problems also persist in Illinois, where Menendez said a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act request) was filed in order to look at provisional ballots, where Menendez says confusion has arisen in some counties over the ability of individuals to cast a ballot in person even if they requested an absentee ballot.
"Under Illinois law, if you apply for an absentee but didn't execute it, you can go vote. Well, in certain counties those individuals have been stopped from voting," he said.
