My Republican Friends Already Crowing, They're In For A Shock
Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 10:43 AM by KingOfLostSouls
this isn't going to be a massive conservative wave.

I dunno why, its just not going to be.

maybe lose the house, but even then I dunno. it won't be some huge gigantic fucking landslide. best case scenario for the repubs maybe less than 10 vote majority. definitely not the senate.

my republican friends also about shit themselves once I explained the new majority leader, should by some stupid reason lose, would be dick durbin or chuck schumer. talk about taking their candy away in a hurry.

I dunno. I'm just calm about this.

if the mainstream media is screaming fire, chances are there's no fire.

1. if they only won one race they'd be calling it a rebuke of obama and the dems.

2. I'm holding out for kkkon shock too due to latest trend and early voting numbers for dems...those,
...two items rarely make the narrative in the M$M or main polling numbers.

I feel the same way
The generic number is not great, but you have to look at the races individually. And the republicans have underperformed for the last few years. The incumbent generally has the advantage and there's lots of them in the House.

3. KingOfLostSouls.
Oddly enough I have a very sanguine feeling about this election too. I do not feel the Democrats are going down.

4. Problem is, no matter what, the Dems still won't grow a spine and be
even more cowed than before...we're screwed no matter what.

6. Nah, they've already loaded up the "election fraud" stories
Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 11:04 AM by gratuitous
They're ready for any poll numbers that show people weren't fooled by their fear tactics. You will, without a doubt, hear dark references to ACORN, the New Black Panthers (both of them), missing ballots, surplus ballots, misprinted ballots in Alaska that don't have Lisa Murkowski's name on them, premarked ballots, unmarked ballots, helpful poll workers, unhelpful poll workers, demands to see identification, failure to ask for identification, and the usual slew of damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't Republican asshattery.

10. And, turnout aside, the same old machines are counting the votes ...
... and that's where the pre-election polls dramatically favoring Republicans are useful as cover.

7. And they will be able to thank the Tea Party...
I think they are the biggest reason Dems will flock to the polls today. That, and splitting the Repub vote.

8. In 2006, my wingnut friends told me that though the Dems took back both houses
Of Government in a sweeping Democrat wave, that the election was a great victory for the Republican Party.

Hence, these people don't function in reality.
