4. One would be wrong then!
Dallas county went for Obama 423,000 to McCain's 310,000 votes. Despite what you say, we dems here in Texas have worked diligently to turn things around and make this state blue once again. Governor Perry only holds an eight point lead over his dem rival, Bill White, statewide, as of last week. It was a toss-up for a while, so we are making strides here.


Congrats to Giant fans on their victory last night. I'm not a baseball fan, but I give credit where it is due. The best team won!

5. Nearly all the big cities went blue last presidential election

It was a significant change from when Austin and El Paso were the outliers.

hmm...check out the area between I-20 and I-30 in dallas...almost all elected officials are Dems.

true.I am one of three dems in Ellis County,home of one of the bigger Klan hangouts.Does that make me officially "Red"?

Don't forget...Molly Ivins,Bill Moyers,Ann Richards...all from texas.

My congressional district (13) is tied with Alabama's 6th as the most republican district in the USA.

My geography doesn't stop me from being blue and proud. :hi:
