I would like to publicly thank Katie Couric for making my job easier

Today I am going to spend at least 8 hours getting out the vote where I live in Madison, Wisconsin, where we have enough Democrats to fill a couple of stadiums.

Last night I watched Katic Couric on the evening news and the way she told it, the Republicans have already taken it to the bank. So hopefully there will be thousands of them who don't even bother to vote today. Thanks, Katie, you're a champ.

(I guess we could call her part Stay Home The Vote)

1. It's been like that all over the mainstream media for at least a week or more
It's shameful "cheerleading".

Like you, I hope it backfires big time.

3. Yep, cheerleading for sure....mica and joe are doing their best as I write.
I hate it. I wish we had Walter Cronkite and David Brinkley reporting the election!

4. Honestly,
If we can't or don't do something about the Media...I think we're doomed.

I actually remember the days of Cronkite, Brinkley and the Fariness Doctrine that Obama and some here decry, but which was at least an "attempt" to create and sustain balance.

6. I agree with you. I doubt we can do much since the advertisers
run the show unless you're holding out on me and are mega-riche!

9. It didn't used to be that way
The stations used to donate air time.

2. When I saw who Katie Couric had on there to help her sell her shit
Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 07:00 AM by Hubert Flottz
I surfed and I surfed all the way to The Ed Show! Bryan Williams and Chunk were on the same kick Katie Couric was on.

5. Mid day check in
They sent me to a suburb which I think of as republican, but there were plenty of Dems there. A lot of people weren't home, but every Dem that I did talk to was planning to vote or had already voted. And the girl who sold me a diet soda said she was going to vote Dem after work.
