How's your phonebanking going?
Doing it with OFA in '08 was frustrating for me at best. Half of them were teabaggers before they were called teabaggers, 1/4 of them were livid that they'd been called a half-dozen times, and maybe 10% were active Dems who didn't need my encouragement anyway (but I was happy to get in touch with). Over 2000 calls.

I'm thinking about calling for Grayson (callforgrayson.com) for most of the day tomorrow. Have you guys been doing well with it?

1. I've done calling for Grayson and it is going very well actually.
I've gotten over two hundred calls in and I've also done canvassing for him last weekend.

They use a very good system very easy to use. There are of course some wrong #'s and disconnected#'s but any system has those. By and large it is a very good system though and I work with candidates producing GOTV lists (although not for Grayson) as a consultant in CFL so I'm not just saying that.

PLEASE do call for Grayson. He is one of our own.

Thanks,

Doug De Clue

2. One thing I found helpful was to have the voters'
voting and polling place info in front of me when I called. I was able to confirm for two people their polling place, and for one other I helped her locate a sample ballot for her precinct. To me, leaving messages was nearly as good as speaking to someone. At least the reminder to vote for Democrats is on the tape, and maybe someone else hears it as well.

4. It's been decent here in AZ though I'm not feeling good about our prospects
SB1070 is a huge factor in this election and we're even worried about keeping Grijalva's seat. :(

5. Mine went scary well. You'd think the TeaPubliKlans had no shot in Hell.
Maybe they don't where I was calling locally but there was no lack of enthusiasm either not in a way that was a block from opposing the Zombie Reagan horde.

6. I'm not real good on the phone,

but I did do 87 lit drops today, plus I am a daily keyboard warrior in the comments section of the Anchorage Daily News. It's been interesting, to say the least.

I am hoping and praying (and I'm not a praying person) that Scott McAdams wins tomorrow. Maybe then Alaska could finally redeem its reputation. Better for us and better for the rest of the country, too. You gotta believe me -- we're not bad people up here, and we're not as right-wing as the media makes us out to be. Sure, we've got our wingnuts and characters, but most people here have one thing in common -- they love Alaska or otherwise they wouldn't live here. Our political differences arise because Alaskans love the state for so many different reasons, and the varied interests are always sparring.

Sorry about that Sarah thing, but it wasn't really our fault. Blame John McCain and the cynical Republican leadership who put her on the ticket to draw the wingnuts. She's a conniver, and she deceptively used Alaskans to sell herself to the national Republican Party. Many Republicans here couldn't stand her, but the national party was busy running faster to the right, and she fulfilled their needs nicely. They didn't vet her here at all. I don't think they realized how much of a monster she would become.

I want to see the Palin/Murkowski feud ended once and for all.
