The Only Ones Who Don't Seem To Get It Are Those In The WH
The other day Gibbs spoke of reaching accord with the Cons despite the obstructionist stance they have taken for the last 2 years. Progressives have been frustrated with the fact that the WH keeps extending their hand and having it ignored. Why don't they understand the Cons will never work with them and to pursue this any longer is futile and as the president said 'insane'?

Here is Boehner today:

"This is not a time for compromise, and I can tell you that we will not compromise on our principles," said Boehner, who will likely be elected House Speaker if Republicans win control. "To the extent the president wants to work with us, in terms of our goals, we'd welcome his involvement."

Gone are the days when top Republicans pleaded for the White House to display bipartisanship and embrace more of their ideas. This past summer, Boehner criticized President Obama over a speech he found overly partisan, and claimed, "All of the president’s talk of post-partisanship, reaching out and finding common ground reminds us that the country deserves better than his hyper-partisan speech today."

2. "we will not compromise on our principles"
If only we could teach Democrats to say things like that!

3. I admire the fact that they won't compromise
on their principles. Now if only we had leaders on our side that I could admire for the same thing.

4. I can't tell you how much Boehner's statement infuriates me. First of all, they
have the balls to claim they have principles? Name them, other than tax cuts and making more money for those who already have plenty.

And this part: "To the extent the president wants to work with us, in terms of our goals, we'd welcome his involvement." makes me go ballistic. It sounds to me like they'll show the Black guy who's REALLY boss. I feel sick. :grr:

6. Has anybody seen
that the angrier we get over an issue over policy or an election the more Democrats come out and the more our agenda gets through. Maybe we are making them do it.

8. Not really...
Sorry but I'm still stuck on the "whining fucking reta*ds who need to go to rehab" thing... I don't know why, usually when someone disses me like that I run right to the bank and donate money to them and run right to the voting booth and vote for them.

7. Mitch McConnell said that Republicans top priority
is making sure Obama does not get re-elected. Not jobs, not the economy, not health care, or taxes or anything that will help anyone other then themselves. These are the people the tea party thinks is representing their interests.

10. Last night on The Daily Show
The President said he was for bipartisanship, looking to what the Republicans would meet a compromise on with him. If they didn't do it over one thing, the President would move on to find something else. The question I wish Stewart asked right then was, "And what if you run out of things to possibly compromise on?"

11. Maybe they are trying to sway moderate repubs
to vote Dem instead of voting for nuts while pinching their noses at the stinch...
