In a conversation with a group of acquaintances earlier this week one of the women said she had a hard time figuring out the Tea-Republican Party. Several people agreed with her and said they didn't understand what was going on.
I think it's pretty easy.
Some people have a lot of money and a lot of power. They want even more money and all of the power. They will exploit people of low intelligence to accumulate more money and consolidate their power. This is why the Tea-Rep candidates can't answer questions that require details in their answers. They aren't seeking office to represent their constituents' interests, solve problems or lead as statesmen and stateswomen. Their only goal (whether for themselves or on behalf of a select few who are taking advantage of them), is to accumulate more wealth into the hands of a few and do so by holding all the power.
Yes, there are ideological beliefs fueling this greed, but ultimately that's what it is - an insatiable thirst for wealth and power. Nothing else matters to them, least of all the people who get in their way of their end goal. Which is why violence is seen as an acceptable answer.
These people are dangerous, some because of their greed, others because of their willful stupidity. But make no mistake, they are indeed incredibly dangerous.
