1. Old dogs care about you even when you make mistakes
God bless little children while they're still too young to hate

A Message from Ashley Judd. We’ve heard a lot of squeaky wheels in the past two years.

Since the last election, we’ve heard squeaks from “birthers,” “tenthers,” the Tea Party, and more. Lost in all that squeaking, sadly, are stories of what’s really at stake on Nov. 2nd – stories like that of Michael Davis in Columbia, Tennessee.

In April, Michael was one of hundreds of workers laid off from GM’s plant in Spring Hill. He’d worked for GM since he was 19 and worked at the Spring Hill plant since transferring there in 1989. But the plant went idle when the auto giant began restructuring under the federal government’s support.

With only five years to his retirement goal, Michael weighed his options. He could uproot his family and work at a plant in another state. Or, if moving was too hard, he could relocate alone and work for five years away from his family. Michael and his wife, Jeanie, prayed on what to do and decided to stay in Tennessee.
