NPR gets bomb threat

Late yesterday, some yayhoo sent a bomb threat to NPR headquarters in Washington. And in all likelihood, it's due to the firing of Juan Williams.

Sources at the news organization said the threat was received via U.S. mail and was immediately turned over to local police and the FBI. The organization did not publicly disclose the threat or release details, on the advice of law enforcement officials.

The letter didn't reference the Williams firing specifically, but people at NPR, who spoke about it on the condition of anonymity, said the timing and tone suggested it was sent after Williams's widely publicized termination.

NPR's security staff is making extra checks of the building's garage, and personnel are keeping a closer watch on who's entering the building.

Additionally, NPR president Vivian Schiller has gotten threatening phone calls to her home.

This cannot stand. Whatever you think of NPR's decision to fire Williams, this sort of intimidation is unacceptable. Apparently this story has gone under the radar--but once it gets out, this behavior should be condemned from all sides of the spectrum.

they are unhinged fools who believe in garbage... in the end, just a bunch of tools, tools like the brownshirts of the 30's in Germany. This needs to be dealt with without any hesitation.
