Rand Paul's goons not yet arrested in stomping of woman
The Lexington Police just told me on the phone that they are not aware of an investigation. If not them who? Also, in a statement to the press earlier Lexinton Metro Lt. Edward Hart said: "police will review the video to see who did the kicking or stepping; at that point, it will be up to the activist whether to seek a warrant with the county attorney’s office on charges of 4th-degree assault, a misdemeanor." Fourth degree assault?????? Lexington Police Admin # 859 258 3600

1. I have no doubt the "good ole boys" are laughing about it. There is something very wrong going on
with our country

9. "There is something very wrong going on with our country." Agree, and I
think many Americans are asleep at the wheel. Some I talk to just don't seem to get what is happening, they think this country just goes on and on, like it's on autopilot and none really has to do anything. Americans never wake up IMO 'till something smacks them right in the face.

Many don't even have the gumption to vote, let alone understand, really understand the major issues. This place runs on propaganda, and that's not a good recipe for the future, ads/propaganda are so slick today, shady and we don't even know the funding sources. None of this bodes well for the future IMO.

2. She's probably just thanking her lucky stars that she's not black or hispanic.
The police probably would've arrested her for assaulting the foot of a patriot with her head and damaging public property (her head scuffed the curb).

Seriously though, if she's an activist, she may simply not be to interested in having the police address the situation.

3. If James O'Keefe happened to be the victim of a crime like this,
Fox News would be running this story 24-fucking-seven, and all of their bots would be screaming like howler monkeys for a special investigation.

5. Not just Fox news would be running it 24/7
"Newsrooms", at CNN and MSNBC would be right on board with Fox.

8. Rand Paul has to win in Kentucky--do not expect any distractions.
The narrative has to be correct.

11. The money / power brokers that really run this country have sent the word out that
Rand Paul will win in Kentucky, no non-agreeing serfs/peasants will get in the way.

12. Why would you expect arrests?
There no longer is any rule of law in this country. Strictly voluntary compliance.

13. When I asked the police my questions, he asked me, "what
is your interest in this?" I told him that I had been sworn to UPHOLD the Constitution and this was a flagrant violation of her 1st Amendment rights and I asked him why that policeman standing there did not intervene? No answer to that! This Bastin Chief is new, I guess we will find out something about him. I have not given up hope that they will arrest although I cannot understand why she would have to press charges when it was IN FRONT OF A COP!!!! Getting out of town Thursday, going to Washington.

15. Is there any way of bringing in the FBI under civil rights laws?
Edited on Tue Oct-26-10 01:14 PM by starroute
That's how it sometimes worked in the old days when civil rights violations in the south were ignored by local law enforcement. I don't now if there's any way to apply it here, though.

On edit: Doesn't look like it. A few states include political affiliation under their own hate crime laws, but Kentucky isn't one of them.

Does anybody else know of any other basis for federal involvement? Interfering with elections or something?

16. They're investigating it now
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/10/kentucky-attack-victim-suffers-concussion-police-hope-to-identify-suspects-today.php

Sherelle Roberts, a public information officer for the Lexington division of police tells TPM that investigators have made no arrests and filed no charges in the case. But because the incident was caught on camera, officers are optimistic that a breakthrough is imminent.

"I think we're probably going to come up with something later today,"
Roberts said, adding that tips have been coming in literally from around the country about who the suspects in the attack might be. "Because it was captured on video, we have a good idea what happened at this point there doesn't seem to be anything to justify how this incident unfolded."

17. There is a Lexington Metro cop in the video, so why this
statement Sherelle??? "Roberts explained the crowd was chaotic, and the perpetrators had disappeared into it by the time police arrived." This did not make sense. We have a jail website that shows all arrested in previous 48 hours. I will keep looking but have to go work until midnight.
