The Obama administration resurrected DADT on our Day of Remembrance
Just in case that was lost on anyone. On the day we're remembering those who took their own lives because they despaired of ever being treated decently, their President did this.

Thank you, President Obama, for that truckload of salt.

soon realizes that pandering to the right is alienating their base.

3. It is because of how LGBT people are treated differently than others in so many ...
areas of life, including DADT, that bullies and bigots feel empowered to do the damage they do which leads to the death of LGBT people. The President contributed to that empowerment on our Day of Remembrance.

4. McClurkin, Warren, DADT on a day honoring our dead
It's really unbelievable. Sometimes I wonder if there are any gay people anywhere near the White House. No one with gay friends - hell, even acquaintances - would ever be this tone deaf.

12. It's sickening. Back when Act-Up was active, organizers would start to quibble about how ...

to achieve this or that goal. The discussions got very heated until someone in the back of the room shouted, "People are dying!" That shut everyone up and got the job done.

People are dying, Mr. President! You empower those who would kill us.

6. I read somewhere he was wearing a purple tie
A sentiment as cheap as his words at this point.

So he apparently did know.

He just didn't care.

8. How did Obama resurrect this?
I believe it was an independent of the administration judge that reversed this. So how is it the Presidents fault?

9. The administration chose to request the stay
They did not have to. They could have let the injunction stand.

Instead, they requested that DADT be resumed, and now it has been.

14. I am beyond disgusted with this Administration on this issue.
Their whole bullshit about "we want the Congress to overturn DADT" is just that, BULLSHIT. They fucking KNOW it isn't going to happen in Congress -- they do NOT HAVE THE FUCKING VOTES, even in a lame duck sesson where Congress Critters have a bit more leeway to vote their conscious not their local politics.
