I wore purple today.
For the souls I love dearly who have been bullied, or worse. For those lost to hate and violence. For those who suffer from it even now. My soul cries for you.

In large letters on the back of my shirt, I wore purple. For the world to see.

You are not forgotten. You are not to blame. You. Are. Loved.

Live, and know that Love.

I am purple. :loveya:

4. Same here. Stop the hate. Stop the bullying.
And thankfully aside from black, purple is my favorite color.

This is for my childhood best-bud, Bill.

10. I wore my most brilliant purple sweater today
Didn't get out to too many places (MG Jr's school, the garage to pick up my car, out to a restaurant), but was proud to wear it all the same. Saw several others in purple as well, and I wondered if it was on purpose or just coincidental.

16. I did too.
And so did JennaLaw.

I had a Dr's appointment today, so we had to go into Manhattan, right next to NYU. We didn't see many people wearing purple today though. I hoped we were going to see a lot of purple.

Geez, at least near NYU, come on people! The school color is Purple. It's not like every student doesn't own some! :(

27. In honor of my students, I wore purple, too.
I teach in an alternative high school where we get many LBGT students who are running away from bullies. It's our job to keep them safe as well as all of our other students. Today, I wore purple, thinking of the special, amazing kids I've had the honor to know so far and how we need them, all of them.

30. It is homecoming week at my school
and as a teacher of seniors I participate but I didn't today so I could wear Purple and be serious about doing so. (it was wacky tacky day and I felt that would conflict). So I not only wore purple but ended up telling students who asked why I did so and didn't participate in the spirit week activity of the day. About 15 to 20 percent of students wore purple.
