#1 reason to keep Dems in pwer? Supreme Court nominees.

I know it's the POTUS that nominates, but congress confirms....every candidate will now have to be right of center. Or a Teabagger.

1. I see no reason to believe Obama will nominate any differently than Bush
So far he's 1 for 1. In other words, no difference.

sotomayor was nominated by clinton to the US court of appeals while H W Bush nominated her to distric court. clinton also nominated Virginia Philips. Obama nominated Kagan.

All fine choices. proof of the op.

8. OK. And a fine choice would be a lefty
This court is short by at least TWO lefties. There's no sign that Obama would nominate a lefty.

13. You have no idea what you are talking about. Sotomayor is probably the second most liberal justice

on the court right now (if not the most liberal).

And Bush only nominated Sotomayor on the recommendation of New York's Democratic Senator at the time. Presidents often nominate a small percentage of district court nominees on the recommendation of the other party -- this is one of them.

10. You must be speaking about another Obama, because President Obama
has picked outstanding nominees that the GOP hated.

11. So Obama's nominees are just like John Roberts and Sameul Alito?
Pretty sure most rational people would disagree.
