DOJ Gathering Info On Tea Partiers Accused Of 'Hovering Over' Voters
http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/10/the_texas_democratic_party_expanded.php

Poll watchers in Harris County, Texas -- where a Tea Party group launched an aggressive anti-voter fraud effort -- were accused of "hovering over" voters, "getting into election workers' faces" and blocking or disrupting lines of voters who were waiting to cast their ballots as early voting got underway yesterday.

Now, Talking Points Memo has learned, the Justice Department has interviewed witnesses about the alleged intimidation and is gathering information about the so-called anti-voter fraud effort.

"We are currently gathering information regarding this matter," Justice Department spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa said in a statement confirming the Civil Rights Division's involvement.

Harris County, the biggest county in the state, is where a Tea Party group called the King Street Patriots launched an anti-voter fraud initiative called "True the Vote," which recruited poll watchers and amped up fears over groups like the community organizing group ACORN.

3. Do plenty of research of the law on what is permissable on their part.
And make sure they don't cross the line.

And find out what all you can do too.

7. Democratic members of the election boards need to enforce the regulations.
And with the appropriate personnel arrest anyone interfering with a voter.

Title 6 Chapter 61 seems to cover this in Texas.

11. The Tea Baggers are not Republicans
They just use the exact same tactics Republicans have used for decades (research how Chief Justice Rehnquist got his career started in Arizona), and nominate the most lizard-brained candidates they can find, who just happen to run under the Republican banner. But they're, like, totally non-partisan.

12. I expect that Congress will investigate these complaints
just like they investigated that New Black Panther story that generated zero (0) voter complaints.

16. Let me guess they'll write sternly worded letters admonishing
it just like John Conyers did after 2004. How much meaningful election reform did we get from control of congress & the presidency?
