Now more questions are being raised about the severity of Whittington’s injury, according to the Post. There are 30 pellets still inside him. Not widely known, the pellets near his heart made it beat erratically. He had a mild heart attack. He had a collapsed lung. He underwent invasive exploratory surgery. A pellet came close to Whittington’s carotid artery — had it hit it, it could have been fatal.
But what do you expect from Whittington? He’s just a company guy. He was close to George H.W. Bush and his wife, Barbara, working on his failed for 1964 Senate run. He also helped Rove set up his first direct-mail firm and still is on the board of Rove’s consulting firm, according to the Post. But Whittington was merely an “acquaintance” of Cheney.
What ticked people off then, and still does to this day, is the secrecy that surrounded this incident and the White House when Cheney was in power.
And if Cheney didn’t tell the truth about a hunting accident, what else hasn’t he told the truth about?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm war crimes, WMDs, the torture program, Valerie Plame, etc., etc.
