A flood of Dems have voted early. If it is close, they will scream fraud, and try to get them all thrown out. They want to corral all those voting into booths to vote electronically, or they cant vote cuz they cant afford to get off work. Etc. They are trying for statistical advantage, and disenfranchising has never been a problem with them.

2. It's called "running scared."

First we have Karl Rove screaming "How dare you!" when COC is described as a threat to democracy. Then he gets caught in a lie about not taking foreign contributions, and now he insists that the Dems to keep harping on the subject because they're bringing in even more money. (But from where--Al Qaeda?)

They realize that the extremism of the teabaggers have undermined their mission to induce voter apathy in Dems and independents, so now they're stuck between a rock and a hard place--high turnout and early voting. I myself have just ordered a mail-in ballot.

3. Minnesota is a perfect example of the republican stealth
Of course the law here says if the totals are close within a certain per cent there must be a recount. But see how Coleman wanted all those absentee and paper ballots thrown out. He knew damn well that Minneapolis on it's own would give him the election, because they always manage to get the correct total to do so to come out of the electronic voting machines. Coleman was worried about those votes. He was worried about the ones that couldn't be programmed. And Franken was correct the truth was in the written ballots.
