Because the California debate was on too late for the east coast? Because we're not considered newsworthy enough? Because Christine's better looking than Meg? Or because the big cable news organizations are based in the east and we're just too far away to bother with - unless there's an awards show going on?

Sometimes I think the entire state could vanish and no one in the east coast media establishment would notice until they needed to run a "Ha, ha, aren't those Californians funny?" story.
