"Not a Witch" was Wearing BLACK.
My friend, a life long, die hard NY/NJ Democrat sent me the O'Donnell ad. The fact that he is worried that someone will win the Joe Biden seat who has to run an ad that declares they "are not a witch" is scarring the shit out of him.

Does anyone know if this can actually wind up being close?

12. She is most certainly NOT a witch. She's just a shit-for-brains Republican.
No self-respecting witch would EVER be a Republican.

I know whereof I speak.

2. The latest poll numbers I saw have Coons up, 54-39
Now, if you think O'Donnell is going to pick up three points per week between now and election day, then yes, be worried. On the other hand, if you think most voters who have been paying attention have already decided to vote for Coons, then focus your energy somewhere else. O'Donnell will not win.

13. You'll get no argument from me
O'Donnell is the sort of perennial candidate who I don't think ever expects to win anything. We had one quite like her in Oregon, Molly Bordonaro, who ran for something or other every couple of years. After taking her lumps in three consecutive elections, I think she decided to go into consulting. After O'Donnell gets munched in four weeks, some think tank will probably give her a sinecure as a reward for winning a race at last.

10. "Wearing BLACK" -- WTH is *that* supposed to mean?
Good grief! Should we try dunking her next?

Bedevere: How do you know she is a witch?
Peasant: She looks like one.
(Crowd indistinctly shouts)
Bedevere: Bring her forward!
Girl: I'm not a witch.
Bedevere: But you are dressed as one...
Girl: They dressed me up like this. (Crowd murmurs)
Girl: And this isn't my nose. This is a false one.
Bedevere: (inspects the nose and confirms) Well?
Peasant: Well, we did do the nose.
Bedevere: The nose?
Peasant: And the hat. She's a witch!
Peasant Crowd: Burn her!
Bedevere: Did you dress her up like this?
Peasant Crowd: No, no, no! (beat) Yes, yes. A bit. But she's got a wart.
Bedevere: Why do you think that she is a witch?
Peasant: Well, she turned me into a newt.
(Bedevere gives him a disbelieving look)
Bedevere: A newt?
(Silence)
Peasant: Well, I got better.
Peasant Crowd: Burn her anyway!

14. New polling numbers have Coons up by 24 points
Looks like O'Donnell might want to re-think her avocation, and turn to black magic after all if she wants to be called "Senator" next year. Because it sure doesn't look like a Republican pick up anymore, and maybe (just maybe) this will dent the preferred media narrative of the invincibility of the Tea Baggers. Where that meme came from in the first place, I have no idea.
