Europeans protest anti-austerity measure 9/29 - pictures
Edited on Sat Oct-02-10 12:51 PM by housewolf
The American media has done a great job of ignoring/hiding the story of the great European day of protest against the austerity measures being put into place all over Europe last week. Here's an article from the Sacramento Bee with a lot of pictures of the protest in a variety of European cities

Here are a couple pictures:

Protesters dressed as bankers and traders take part in an EU-wide demonstration against austerity on September 29, 2010 in Brussels. The protest was timed to coincide with a plan to fine governments running up deficits. Placard at center reads: "Leave our earnings" and at right: "Don't touch our benefits." 1. What protests?
We should find it interesting how the US media picks and chooses what Americans need to hear.

Any thoughts on why they don't publish the story about these protests?

4. Thoughts on media
Could it be that the MSM media has lost its role of news and information, and is now about keeping Americans

1- Entertained instead of informed
2- Uninformed about important stuff. They want us to know Lohan.
3- Keeping the masses fighting about the small stuff while the nation is being pillaged by the commercial interests
4- Hyping the issues that draws them eyeballs and profits
5- In partnership with politicians and government instead of serving as the guardian of public interests

Why have they kept these protests off the front pages? I would say it is more about #2, #3 and #5.

5. Mass media belongs to the powers-that-be. The current economic crisis threatens the powers-that-be,
ergo they must distract the masses with superfluous moronic irrelevancy.

7. Americans are brainwashed
and the MSM plays a huge part. They raise mundane ideological issues to keep the public distracted with mundane BS while our own government sells us out to China and our capitalist globalist puppeteer string pullers.
