London, England (AHN) - Even as the outgoing British Prime Minister Tony Blair is busy in talks with Iraqi leaders, his support for the Iraq war comes under scathing attack by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.

In an interview with BBC Radio 4 Saturday, President Carter said Blair's unwavering support for President Bush's policy was a "major tragedy."

He described the British Premier's stance on backing President Bush vis-?-vis the Iraq war as "Abominable. Loyal. Blind. Apparently subservient''
