Block leaves AIPAC for Democratic consultancy
WASHINGTON (JTA) -- Josh Block, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's spokesman, is leaving to start a consultancy and join a centrist Democratic think tank.

Block and Lanny Davis, a counsel to the Clinton White House, will set up Davis-Block LLC, a firm that will "operate at the nexus of policy, politics and public affairs," Davis told Politico on Tuesday. "Josh and I will be able to offer clients unique strategic depth on public affairs, legal issues, legislative strategy, crisis management, and foreign policy."

Block, who is telling friends he will still play a prominent role in pro-Israel activism, also is joining the Progressive Policy Institute, a think tank for centrist Democrats.

1. So that will help Democrats?
As far as I'm concerned we need only Democratic think tanks and policies that are directed towards Americans, and that will work to benefit those on the economic ladder that goes up to and including middle class.

I don't buy into a philosophy that we need Americans that will work to split influence, initiatives and lobbying between the needs of the USA and any other country including Israel.

It is an understatement to state that just the idea that the most influential and powerful lobby in our government works to the benefit of another country irks the hell out of me, and now apparently Democrats have Josh Block from said lobby able to "offer clients unique strategic depth on public affairs, legal issues, legislative strategy, crisis management, and foreign policy.".
