What the media isn't telling you about Iraq's 'oil sharing law'
The Media is telling you about a law the Bush Administration wants the Iraqi Government to pass and how it will supposedly split the oil revenues up between the different groups in Iraq.

WHAT YOU AREN'T BEING TOLD ABOUT IT:

Oil experts in Iraq say the law would enable United States companies to take control of Iraq's oil industry.

The new law would authorize production share agreements (PSAs), which guarantees a 12.5 per cent profit for foreign oil companies.

The Iraq National Oil Company would have exclusive control of just 17 of Iraq’s 80 known oil fields, leaving two-thirds of known and all undiscovered fields open to foreign control.

1. And also go back to Brennen's laws. They raped the country.
I believe one of the last was that Iraq could not change these laws.

2. K&R. This is a very important post. Must read!
It is more than curious that this is not being covered in the MSM and, when it is covered, not given the proper weight. If you are worried about a permanent US presence in Iraq, read these articles. If the US is planning to control the oil fields, it will have to control the country. All this talk about our "continued presence in Iraq" to chase the terrorists and train Iraqis is bullshit. We will be there to control the oil...that's how we got there in the first place and that's why we're going to stay. Now, ask yourself why our Democratic candidates haven't been talking about this.
