Failin' Palin got booed on DWTS
I refuse to watch Dancing With the Stars this season because a Palin is among the cast. I was flipping channels just now, and my favorite professional dancer Derick Hough was dancing so I paused long enough to watch. When the dance was over, and they were in the back room getting their scores, the audience suddenly started booing. Loudly. They had no idea why, but then they went back to the ballroom and showed the host preparing to interview Mama Palin.

At which point I changed the channel.

2. I love the show BUT not so much the Sarah.....
I caught that also and couldn't be more pleased- I love that people are on to her and what she is! As for her daughter, I think she is doing a really good job so far- if you have never danced you can't imagine how difficult this is and then to do it in front of a live audience and a TV audience of millions.

17. Just as Chelsea Clinton was off-limits
so should be Bristol Palin. Calling her an "idiot" is no better than Rush calling Chelsea Clinton a "dog." Be nice if we were above attacking the children.

20. Not really the same.
Chelsea was a minor. Bristol is an adult and has chosen the spotlight. And with the spotlight comes scrutiny.

21. They're still children of politicians.
They're not the ones running for office. She's a young, inexperienced, probably very sheltered young lady who is now struggling with single parenthood. Going after her is just mean spirited and I'd like to think, as liberals, we are above that kind of thing.

19. Bristol seems as shallow as any other young American.
She can dance, great. Can she think?

8. the tape doesn't show a damn thing
it shows two participants being interviewed back stage and there apparently is booing from the studio audience for something going on off camera. The camera then cuts to the host interviewing Palin and when she's introduced she receives applause (polite, not enthusiastic) but no booing that I heard.

11. maybe so, maybe not. but there is no evidence she was boo'd on DWTS
In fact, the tape indicates she received polite applause.

13. I watched it as it aired. She definitely was booed.
But it sounds like from what others have posted that ABC fixed the audio before it aired on the West Coast.

16. I watched the show in the East
and the boos were in response to low scores. It happens a lot on that show but believe what you want. There was only one brief camera shot of Palin in the audience prior to her being interviewed much later in the show and the reaction she got was polite applause.

22. Notice that the child is smart enough to be sleeveless, but Palin wears black leather
It must be hot in the studio, the child sitting next to Palin is wearing a sleeveless blouse, but not Sarah the pure herself. Nope, Palin is clad, as usual, in a black leather jacket, zipped to the chin. Strange.

now trying to steal the spotlight from her daughter. How egotistical can you get. OH ARE THEY PAYING HER TO SPEAK....

31. It's a show about (mostly) third-rate stars.
If she *didn't* show up to "support" Bristol, people would complain about that. As a third-rate "star", of course they're gonna show her in the audience.

24. People hate Bristol Palin b/c they hate Sarah Palin?
gimme a break! I loved seeing her (Bristol) on the show, and she's just a human being not doing any harm to anyone, and when did she EVER do any harm to anyone? Does anybody here not know somebody who got pregnant out of wedlock? (I assume that's why people are on her, not b/c her mom ran for president???)

America will vote her off or not, but hopefully based on her dancing efforts.

Hey, I don't want Sarah Palin for Prez either, but hating the whole family for being alive is a bit over the top for me here.

30. I spoke with associates involved with the show, Palin got booed when she walked onset.
You realize there is the ability to add applause to a show if it is`nt live, don`t you? But it`s a little tougher live. I`ll try to get the unedited feed from that shot and post it, but no guarantees though.
