Democrat Alex Sink Endorsed By Republican State Senator Alex Villalobos
Miami, FL - Florida CFO and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Alex Sink was endorsed today by Republican State Senator Alex Villalobos, continuing the trend of support for Sink by Republicans and Independents because of her respected business experience and plans to move our state forward. Senator Villalobos cited Alex Sink's common-sense approach to getting Floridians back to work and the need for a problem-solver who can hold Tallahassee accountable during his endorsement event today at the Miami Dade College Kendall Campus, located in his State Senate district.

"Alex Sink is the right Governor for Florida to get our economy back on track, support our small businesses and improve our schools. With her decades of respected business experience, I know she is a fiscal conservative who we can trust to move our state forward and work in a bipartisan way to find solutions to Florida's challenges," said Senator Villalobos. "There is a critical choice for Floridians in this election, and it is clear that Alex Sink is the only candidate running with the integrity and character needed to lead our state."

"I'm pleased to have the support of Senator Villalobos, who recognizes that the challenges facing Florida are too great to be left to partisan bickering and who has stood up for what's right on issues like education reform," Alex Sink said. "As I travel around the state, it's clear Floridians of all parties are looking for a Governor with integrity and good business sense - someone who shares their values and has a plan to get Florida's economy back on track. As Governor, I'm going to work closely with Democrats, Independents and Republicans to do what is right for Florida."

Senator Villalobos' endorsement also continues Alex Sink's record of receiving support from prominent Cuban-American Republicans in South Florida as she shares her detailed plan to bring jobs to Florida and get our economy back on track. Senator Alex Villalobos served as the Republican Majority Whip from 2001-2002 and as the Republican Majority Leader from 2004-2006 in the Florida Senate. Sink also recently received the support of Miami-Dade School Board Member Raquel Regalado, who introduced Sink at today's endorsement event.

1. She could be one of our few bright spots on Election night
A Democratic veto pen over Florida redistricting, AND in FL the governor gets to appoint the Secretary of State.

And if you don't know why that is important then you don't know your election history.
