Torture-lovin' Yoo to speak at Marin County Tea baggers rally
Tea Party flexes muscles in Marin County today

Joe Garofoli, Chronicle Staff Writer

Sunday, September 26, 2010

Hundreds of Tea Party supporters will gather in Marin County today, where they will listen to speeches from affirmative action opponent Ward Connerly and John Yoo, the UC Berkeley law professor and an architect of the Bush administration's "enhanced interrogation" policy.

But the point of the gathering isn't merely to chomp on conservative rhetoric or rail against the new health care law - though there will be plenty of that.

With five weeks before the Nov. 2 election, organizers said that if the Tea Party wants to be a force in the California vote, its followers must commit to the serious grunt work of campaigning - and pony up some cash. It's no longer about sign-waving.

3. WWJT*
* WWJT = Who Would Jesus Torture?

And Why are Republicons and Teabaggers who claim to be 'christians' so hot to do to other people the same evil torture that was done to the man they like to claim is their 'Savior.'?

How twisted and evil is that?

4. Marin County?
That is kind of funny. While there is definitely 'big money' in Marin County, I don't think there are very many tea baggers here. I can't imagine a very big turnout for this. Lynn Woolsey is our Representative, after all, and she is one of the most liberal House Reps there is. She was against the wars from the start.

We are in the middle of a heat wave here in Calif, it was 90 degrees here yesterday (and Marinites get about 10 days a year where it is that hot, it has been an unusually cool summer), and I think this gathering will most likely be very bleak.

It will be crowded in the Marin area, but that is due to the weather (and the entire bay area flocking to the beaches. and Mt. Tam National park, which will actually be non-foggy and warm and sunny), or flocking to the Sausalito Art Festival (a very big draw). A Tea Bagger Rally? Nah, I think I'll pass.
