Heavy Rain is falling non-stop across Jamaica since early morning

We're waiting to hear about landslides, flooding or other damage - should know more at 9.00am.


If I were in a GOM state, Florida, Cuba, the Bahamas, I'd watch this system carefully. I don't ever remember the Caribbean sea being covered with clouds like this and I am not young. Even if there's no tropical storm or hurricane there will be flooding.

I've been watching our Science Guy's writings here (Houston Chronicle). We are probably through the worst at this point, but it's still Sept. so I'm still watching.

2. It's only rain here

not even strong winds. I expect some flooding in low lying areas. We'll be fine and I hope the same is true for everyone else here.
The flooding in Wisconsin is way worse than anything heading out way.
