Boehner "We are not going to be any different than what we've been."
yeah, we know that. that's why so many of us are holding our noses and voting for candidates we detest - just because you're you.

Blending longtime GOP orthodoxy with a call for more responsible government, the GOP document provides a general roadmap for how out-of-power Republicans would govern. It says they'd focus on job creation and spending control while changing the way Congress does business. They'd cut taxes. Federal spending, too. Replace Obama's health care plan. And, in a nod to the party's conservative wing, ban federal funding of abortion.

now if Democrats would actually offer something better - I'm talking to you, blue dog jerk offs - people would be more supportive of the party. As it is, we're left to say... well, you know, I really do not want the guy the party has put up for office in there - he's disgusting, and little better than a repuke - but at least he's not a repuke.

and, for that lame reason, I am trying to convince myself to vote in November. It's lame, but it's still important b/c I remember 2000.

1. I think the teabaggers should be very concerned by that line.
It sounds to me like they are telling moderates that it's still their GOP.

2. I have not seen anything moderate about the GOP since. oh...the 1950s
Eisenhower was the last decent republican - the last sane one - the last one that didn't lie his ass off to the American people and promise them sunshine and lollipops if only they let the rich get richer and piss on everyone else (aka trickle-down b.s.)

There is NOTHING moderate about the Republican Party - at least compared to any other western democracy.

Compared to Saudi Arabia or Iran - yeah, the Republicans are moderate in comparison - but what sort of comparison is that? Moderate in theocratic terms...

4. well, in the U.S.
it's hard to know anymore what someone considers "moderate" when the teabaggers put forth an abstinence-only for adults candidate who equates masturbation with adultery - and why does she have anything to say about this anyway...

Republicans are just as religiously doctrinaire when it comes to tax cuts for the rich.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had staffers who scour the kjv looking for quotes from jeebus to justify racism, tax cuts, punitive legislation against minorities... they already try to claim jeebus doesn't want "the gays" to have civil rights...

8. So Boner, you're saying that the Republican Party fully intends

to remain virulently Anti-Gay even though you have Gay Representatives toe-tapping their way within the party?

You'll STILL be the party of the Rich and corporations to the detriment of American workers. You plan to continue to APOLOGIZE to a corporation who killed its workers instead of coming to the aid of the Workers?

You'll STILL be a "Family Values" Republican party that has members on whores client list, have members and wanna be leaders (gingrich) who dump wives more often than they change underwear.

You STILL want to be a "Christian Conservative party" that screams "HELL NO YOU CAN'T" to helping the needy in America while giving billions to corporations?

You STILL want to be the Republican Party that intends to continue dismantling regulations, firing industry inspectors and placing industry insiders as regulation writers? You were not disturbed by the BP disaster YOUR party created?

Why don't you just snuggle up into your mistresses arms and drop out of the process, please, you family values JOKE.
