Zoe Lofgren asked him to be there. After the hearing she observed that the last time this hearing was held, no media showed up.

He was brilliant--and it must have really disturbed the Religiously Correct in the room that he invoked Jesus' words in defense, not just of immigrants, but of all of us. "The least of my brothers..."

10-1 a bunch of the RC crowd went running to an intern for interpretation.

5. Sorry, Colbert came across as the comedian he is
And it was wrong for the congresswoman to have invited him

When I watched I understood exactly where Rep. John Conyers was coming from. He didn't like it, it was inappropriate.
This will hurt the Democrats.
