Get the Word out! Obama to Appoint Super-Liberal Jacob Lew!
We MUST get the word out to all of our conservative friends that Obama is about to appoint a Clinton era Liberal to the Office of Budget and Management. We should tell the Freepers how excited we are to have a chance to rub this appointment in their face. We should email Faux News and let them know! Call Rush so he knows too!

Everyone! This is important!

We may have to suffer the inevitable backlash of calls for Rebublicans to do everything in their power to block this appointment, but I just *know* we'll get this ultra-super-duper Liberal confirmed anyhow.

So let's get on it!

;)

1. uh..where are you going with this?
Are you implying that it's absurd to expect Obama to actually appoint progressives?

It's not clear who or what you're mocking here.

If this is a joke on your part, it didn't work.

4. Of course.
The unwillingness to use simple compulsion on the easily manipulated wingnuts cannot possibly be a cause for failure. No, we must depend on the system to observe itself... because we all know how well that works. :sarcasm:

It's becoming obvious to me that most Democrats are just a bit too naive to ever use their opponent's weaknesses against them.

Why, I have little doubt that even you won't spread the word about how 'liberal' this fellow is.

The morons are a powerful force. If Liberals don't learn how to manipulate them soon, then the morons will be the demise of this nation.

Sorry that I had to explain that to you.

6. Dude, it wasn't THAT obvious about what you were doing
No need to get insulting.

Nobody got what you were trying to do. And most people wouldn't have. It was a stretch.

7. Well...
If that was over 'most people's' heads, then 'most people' are in deep shit.

If you can make the message more comprehensible, then please do so.

I've nearly given up on you all... but I promise not to.

9. If you're going to take THAT kind of arrogant, superior tone
We'd all be just fine with you "giving up" on us.

You're not entitled to act as if you're somehow ABOVE everyone else here.

11. Right... change the topic to my 'tone'.
That'll sure excuse everyone from doing what works.

I thought there might be some hope that Liberals could save this country, so I've joined them and worked with them. I've suggested this tactic many times and gone mostly ignored. I've used it myself and seen results, but I can't do it alone. It's not 'arrogant' to point out failings in search of remedies, but it sure is easier to call me 'arrogant' than it is to face facts. I'm well-acquainted with people's aversion to self-discovery. Unfortunately, it's the key to maturity. If Progressives can't be bothered to learn what they are doing wrong or take powerful suggestions, then we're all humped. Republicans PAY to learn how to manipulate people, but Progressives are so tied up in 'fighting the good fight' that they're getting creamed.

If I seem condescending, it's because it's deserved. You COULD prove you don't deserve it by getting over it and discussing substance rather than 'tone', but I've been here long enough to know that once someone like you pulls the 'tone' card you stand on it like an obstinate child.

Now... can you get over it?

18. Oh, well. Maybe you should start a forum for the smart people...with one member...you.
That way, you won't have to rub elbows with us lower forms of matter.

If only I were as smart as you. Sigh. But I can only dream.

Now, if we can get you to use the "sarcasm" moniker, like you're supposed to, we will have accomplished something, indeed: You, actually communicating with others, instead of lecturing "down."

19. Riiiight...
I said IF that was 'over most people's heads then 'most people' are in trouble'.

Whatever indignation-mongering impulse in your head translated that into "I'm smarter than you are." Is not doing you any service.

So... was the op over *your* head?

PS: It ain't rocket surgery. ;)

5. Although I appreciate your strategic thinking,

8. It's more tactical than strategic... by a fine line.
And the point isn't getting 'Rush to back me', but to 'alert' him via the freeper community. The rest will 'strategically' work itself out.

Unfortunately, the freepers aren't smart enough to know how 'liberal' Lew really is.

10. Perhaps you can impersonate a dittohead?

12. I've done it before...
Got past the screener easy enough, but the show ran out of time.

Too bad it's Friday, but it can't hurt to give it a whirl.

It'll help if more than one of us does it. ^_^

I would be an utter failure at it. The minute I hear his voice ...

Well, it isn't pleasant.

Let us know if you get through, okay?

17. Over 100 attempts...
Didn't get through.

I really like your suggestion... calling as a dittohead and 'warning' everyone about the appointment. I can imagine telling him that, "this guy was instrumental in creating the economic mess". It could touch off a storm with the mere mention of 'Clinton era'.
