EFFING CRYBABY UPDATE: GOP undies in a bunch over Biden "Republican Tea Party" remark. CRYBABIES!
Well...GOP and Blue Dog Ben, that is.

:eyes:

After Vice President Joe Biden said the alternative to a Democratically controlled Congress is the "Republican Tea Party," lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have moved to distance themselves from his remarks.

"I can't imagine any elected official making fun of people becoming highly involved in the electoral process," said Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) when asked to comment on Biden's remarks. "I just don't see how that's healthy. And yes, I think people who might criticize people getting highly engaged in the electoral process -- I think that's problematic and I just don't understand why one would perceive criticizing that to be a good thing."

Democrats dealt with the matter a bit more delicately.

"I think there are some fine people who are concerned about the size of the government, concerned about tax structure, concerned about the future," said Ben Nelson (D-Neb.). "And what we ought to do is have a dialogue."

"Accurately analyzing Tea Party supporters can be difficult," said Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.). "So I try to avoid kind of broad generalizations or broad categories. It's always dangerous to generalize."

At a fundraiser for Gov. Ted Strickland in Ohio, Biden linked the GOP to the Tea Party, suggesting Democrats will run against the conservative activists. "Don't compare me to the Almighty, compare me to the alternative," he said, according the pool report. "The Republican Tea Party is the alternative."

Biden's approach reflects a strategy being considered by the White House, according to the New York Times. The White House, however, denies it.

35. But then they might not split apart and divide the right into two. Then Palin would
not run as the presidential nominee for the Tea Party. I can dream can't I?

5. Good Lord!!!!!!~
The republicans and the tea bags have called Democrats and Obama everything that you can thing of from Nazi, Hitler Fascist, etc etc. And they got to pee and moan about this. I think some one should just start walking up to every republican they see and call them a cry baby. And then say you are worst than a tea bag. And that's all the republicans are. I am so sick of this I am burning up. It is time we fought back. I think real American citizens should flood fox, Rush, Beck and every damn republican and tea bag with letters telling them just that. I wish with all my heart that we could get these damn sit on their ass Democrats out to vote. I wish we could tell them exactly what is going to happen if those children every have a chance to PLAY AT GOVERNMENT AGAIN. Because they can't govern all they do is jump up and down and have to run to the bathroom. Damn am I mad.

31. Ask them why they hate America too............
They did vote against the defense authorization bill. Well not exactly vote against the bill itself, but it's close enough for Fox Noise, so it's going to be close enough for me.

7. Well he is right!
The tea party is bought and paid for mostly by the republican party, no matter what they want to claim! If those "crazy" people get into office, the whole process will become worse than it is now, for not only the president, the democrats and the country, but for the republican party itself. How in the world will the republican leaders be able to handle the crazies? They will be off on their own agenda trying to amend the constitution, get rid of anyone who doesn't think like they do, and in general fighting between each other and the rest of the republican party! Nothing at all will get done so Biden is right, the only alternative is the "republican tea party", and that sucks big time!

Joe is trying rally the base, and we really need that!

10. The GOP and The TeaParty are one and the same.
Remember not long ago the TeaParty folks got a candidate knocked all a ballot because they said that he couldn't run as a TeaPartyer because he was a democrat?
The TeaParty does not recognize democrats being in their group!

Everyone needs to holler everyday " The TeaParty IS the GOP ".

CNN has gotten into the habit lately of having one or two republicans, one or two teapartyers, and one or two democrats in their split screen discussions. What is happening is the democrats are getting only 1/3 the airtime to talk and the GOP/TeaParty is getting 2/3.

12. Bob Corker didn't always feel that way about highly involved people
He's had citizens arrested at his office for being too highly involved in the electoral process. Naturally, those people were dirty fucking hippies who were against an All-American Under God War, but still . . .

16. You can't accuse Biden of not mincing his words.
Edited on Wed Sep-22-10 05:11 PM by political_Dem
He says what he thinks whether people like it or not. And he hit the nail on the head with this. If the GOP want to embrace these racist, ignorant thugs who can't spell and are uncouth in public, they should stop whining and do it. Dick Armey is on their side, not ours.

Since the GOP continues to crow about responsibility, they should grow a pair, shut up and embrace these loud-mouthed domestic terrorists as their own. They should also handle the consequences of such an alliance as well.

23. I've been thinking about conservative crybabies of late
I've been watching CNBC in the morning lately and  at the scared shitless, whiny, crybabies on Wall Street. To a person, nothing but "Obama hates us! Obama hates business!"  To their credit, Mark and Erin do a good job of showing that Obama has, in fact, been very good to them.

It's the old, Tell and rile the herd screaming deficits are bad and Democrats are responsible for them, while running up the biggest debts in US history play.

29. And it's true too
When Mini Me got elected the GOP gave her money. Does the GOP give money to the winning Democrat, or Green Party? The Teabaggers should have to hold their own to play. Otherwise, they ARE the GOP. But we already knew that.
